Mary Cawley
Mary Cawley has taught General Music in a public school setting for over 10 years. Her commitment to early childhood music education has led her to teach Music Together® Classes. Music Together offers all children the best possible musical beginning available. Just watch the children, listen to how they are singing, chanting and rhyming! They create the music-they create the dance! This musical beginning is magical!
Mary enjoys playing and teaching piano. She is also a singer with The New York Choral Society and performs regularly in Carnegie Hall. Her association with the chorus has allowed her the opportunity this past June, to perform with Andrea Bocelli on stage at Madison Square Garden providing opera chorus and back-up vocals for his U.S. "Incanto" tour. Also, this past November, she sang with the New York Choral Society at the Richard Tucker Music Foundation Gala in Avery Fisher Hall. This year's award winner is the tenor Stephen Costello. The gala was conducted by Fabio Luisi and featured Anna Netrebko, Stephanie Blythe, Samuel Ramey, René Pape, and others.
Making music allows for a sense of joy and spirit that transcends all of life's boundaries. Mary views Music Together classes as a superb beginning towards what can become a lifelong passion.
